THE IMPRECISE PROBABILITIES
PROJECT
The Imprecise Probabilities Project was conceived
in 1996 by Peter Walley and Gert
de Cooman. Its purpose is to help advance the theory and applications
of imprecise probabilities, mainly by the dissemination of relevant information
concerning: what the theory is about, who is working in the field, what
the recent developments are, what the relevant publications are, and where
they can be found. The main activity of the IPP is the maintenance of a
web site.
The web site http://ensmain.rug.ac.be/~ipp
already contains some introductory articles about imprecise probabilities,
plus an extensive bibliography, and it will soon contain a collection of
survey articles on special types of imprecise probability models. The Imprecise
Probabilities Project also maintains a repository of abstracts in imprecise
probabilities, and an electronic mailing list. More information about these
services can be found on the IPP
web site.
